_Sunday, November 27 2005,
This Sunday the Oro-runners were invited to enjoy a run in the
village of Balobal (fiesta-time) in a mountainous area of the
province Bukidnon about 15 km. from CDO.
Ricardo, the chairman of the club, transported us with his pickup-van
to the village but when we arrived at about 5.30 AM there were
already lots of youngsters in the main-road but no sign of any
run and Tommy find out the race was cancelled because of .....lack of
funds?
_After my visit of a local jungle toilet we prepared ourselves to
run back to CDO along a long path downwards to the highway along
the costal area.
The younger and faster guys took the lead and we didn't see them
back again that morning.
_In a meanwhile it started to rain, not so heavy but still pretty
continuous.
The way down was a tricky one because of the many stones and not
flat surface.
I had to be very watchful because of my ankle which I injured some
weeks before.
The humidity was higher than high and once in the highway the
traffic brought some more water in the air.
Last few kilometers I felt pretty tired in my legs, still it was a
good run for about 13-14 km.
_Once in Gusa we took a brake in my place, drunk water and ate
small breads Tommy bought in a bakery.
I was home again and the other running-mates climbed into the car
to be brought back to the city and enjoying the rest of the
(Oro)Sunday.
