_The almost exact distance, I was measuring by using my bike's km-teller, is: 10.200 meter.
What happened to our first public run?
Well, to start with the race itself, during the night before and until 10 AM it was raining a lot, sometimes increasing then less again.
_It was a heavy race, not too much hot weather but too much water from 'heaven', we started at about 6.45 and because of that time there was already increasing traffic in the streets.
It was for everyone a short night, not only for the runners who supposed to get started at 6 AM, but more for us, organizers of this event, we were suffering from the wet circumstances the whole night and in that early time.
_Too many helpers didn't show up because of the rainfall, we were not able to paint arrows and km-marks in the street, and quit a lot of athletes stayed at home because of the weather, some of them thinking the event would be postponed?!
Unfortunately we were not able to get a balanced financing of the event because of too few sponsors and not enough participants and we have to apologize to our winners in the race for not able to award them 100 % as we planned.
_BUT.... we got some PNP (Philippine National Police) trainees to run in our event, so this was much encouraging for the organization!
_We hoped to reach at least more than 100 athletes in our event, but 'anyway' we learned a lot for this time (and next times to come).
We will accurate evaluate our preparation for this event to do better in a following running event.
